Worldwide Records started off as an independent record label based in Mumbai. The Company launched in April 2001 introduced its international partners in India via licensing and distribution arrangements and built a platform for their Repertoire through brand exposure and extensive distribution.

THE MUSIC LABEL

It was one of the first labels to introduce the lounge music scene to India with the launch of the world-renowned Buddha Bar music series owned by George V Records and distributed by Wagram Music, Paris from 2001. Since 2001, the company also launched many big artists and labels from Paris like Claude Challe’s Challo Music, Pschent, E.G.T – Mastersun.

The company has been attending since 2001 MIDEM, MIPCOM in Cannes and since then has had long-term business associations with companies in UK and France.

The company is distributing the world-famous dance label- global dance “Ministry of Sound” & “Hed Kandi” from UK.

MOVIE DIVISION

The company owns rights to more than 200 movies in Bollywood as well as across all Indian Languages. The company has produced more than 200 videos and has also co-produced films like “Dozakh”. The focus this year is to make regional language movies with better production values and incorporate visions of foreign lands.

In 2014, Worldwide Records was converted into a public limited company.
